Programmes

The School has academic programmes in 12 broad divisions namely;

The M.Sc Programmes are conducted under the Credit and Semester System (CSS) and consists of 4-semesters duration. The programmes are :

• MSc Chemistry – Inorganic Chemistry
• MSc Chemistry – Organic Chemistry
• MSc Chemistry – Physical Chemistry
• MSc Chemistry – Polymer Chemistry

The number of seats available for each of the Master of Science ( M Sc ) programme in the department is as follows :

State Quota – 12 seats

All India Quota – 2 seats

International Quota – 2 seats

Arts/Sports – 1 seat

The M Phil Programmes are conducted under the Credit and Semester System (CSS) and the programmes are

• MPhil in Chemistry – Inorganic Chemistry
• MPhil in Chemistry – Organic Chemistry
• MPhil in Chemistry – Physical Chemistry
• MPhil in Chemistry – Polymer Chemistry

The number of seats available for each of the Master of Philosophy ( M Phil ) programme in the department is 4

• PhD in Chemistry
• Post doctoral research facility

The number of seats available for a PhD and Post doctoral research every year is based upon the vacancies available in  individual research groups in the department  which can be found on visiting the personal webpage of each faculties in the department.

• Two value-added add-on Programs for the departmental students with a minimum 30-hour duration and initiate the program with the syllabus. The add-on programs will be conducted on the below-mentioned topics.
• Spectroscopic Methods in Chemistry
• Learning Computational Chemistry using Gaussian software
